Idea's

After reading the brief, my first ideas revolved around haunted houses. However, after a brainstorming session with the rest of the class we developed a back story to our project which allowed us to be more specific with our ideas.

We decided that in the future our building exists as a museum.

We named our museum 'The Ruskin Experience, the fall of the Niksurites'.

Once upon a time Ruskin Hall belonged to the BA Art & Design Institute of Birmingham City University however, not all was as it seems. In 2013 a scandal broke out that left the world in shock. It was discovered that the students of the Institute were actually running a secret sect called Niksurites (derives from 'Ruskin' in reverse).

Inside, investigators found secret spaces, objects, visual material and accounts of the events that took place. Although no one actually knows all the details of the sect, most of it still remains a mystery.

A museum has now been created in the year 3089 where visitors can experience what it was like being part of the secret sect 1,076 years ago.
