Gang Tattoo's

My research started off with me looking into gang tattoos.

Gang tattoo's are a long practised custom throughout the world. Almost every gang have some symbol to show others of gang membership. Two of the most infamous gangs are the 'Vor V Zakane' (The Russion Mafia) and the 'Mexican Mafia'. These are prime examples of what gangs expect their members to tattoo on themselves.

Gang tattoo's in the Russian Mafia are vastly different than gang tattoo's in the Mexican Mafia. Tattoo's done in Russion prisons are often done with extreme detail and care. Russian Gang members often devote themselves entirely to the gang, their body and forsaking all friends and family members. Russian Gang members cite multiple meanings to their tattoo's as they are highly secretive about their meanings.
